The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Processor is an 8-core desktop processor with Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), enabling it to handle 16 threads at once. Launched on October 8, 2020, it is AMD’s fastest 8-core processor.

The Ryzen 7 5800X operates with a base clock of 3.8 GHz, reaching up to 4.7 GHz on a single core in turbo mode, and up to 4.5 GHz when all 8 cores are active.

AMD continues to use TSMC for the 7nm production of the CPU cores, with the I/O die produced at 12nm by Global Foundries.
